How to adjust the bands of your 47RE / RH and 48RE ...

The front band adjustment is located on the outside of the transmission. Locate the lock nut on the driver's side just above the gear lever.

Loosen band adjusting screw locknut 5-6 turns. Be sure adjusting screw turns freely in lever. Tighten adjusting screw to 72 inch lbs. (Fig. 68).
